Save the Arctic守護北極公開攝影展 於倫敦Waterloo地鐵站持續發聲

攝影師Andy Gotts拍攝了包含演員潘蜜拉安德森(Pamela Anderson)、喬治克隆尼(George Clooney)、茱蒂丹契女爵士(Dame Judi Dench)、超模娜歐蜜坎貝兒(Naomi Campbell) 、凱特摩絲(Kate Moss)、藝術家Grayson Perry、時尚設計師Stella McCartney等60位國際名人，他們身穿Vivienne Westwood設計的T恤，呼籲世人保護珍貴且脆弱的北極。

Vivienne Westwood的守護北極(Save the Arctic)T恤是由有機且未經漂白的棉所製成，T恤的白是棉花的自然原色，並由一家在祕魯成立20年的公司提供。此外，這些棉花的生長及製作過程皆通過全球有機紡織棉標準(G.O.T.S)認證，所有T恤皆在秘魯生產並於英國印製圖樣。

此攝影展自2015年7月13日至7月26日於倫敦Waterloo地鐵站的手扶梯兩側展出，地鐵站出口連結殼牌Shell石油公司位於倫敦的總部，Shell石油公司本月將在北極展開鑽油行動。以北極目前的情況，鑽油計畫會對其帶來極大的危險。美國政府也知道若Shell石油公司將此次在阿拉斯加探勘到的石油進行提煉，會有75%的機率發生大規模且嚴重的漏油事故。許多專家警告，一旦發生漏油事故，清理油汙幾乎是不可能的任務，也會對北極生物的棲地帶來無法恢復的傷害。

全球已有超過7百萬人參與連署來抵制Shell石油公司的鑽油計畫！

英國綠色和平組織執行董事John Sauven表示：「這60位名人照背後，還有數百萬人的聲音，來自世界各地超過7百萬人已參與連屬，踴躍加入守護北極的行動。」

Vivienne Westwood表示：「綠色和平組織執行董事John Sauven提出這個非常棒的想法，將倫敦Waterloo地鐵站手扶梯旁的牆面當作創新的藝術空間，讓大家都能看到這些照片，讓全世界的人都能了解北極融化對大家的影響，如果我們要守護北極，現在就要行動！」

英格蘭主教長─坎特伯里大主教(Archbishop of Canterbury)  Justin Welby也提出他對在北極的鑽油行動感到擔心。「這瘋狂的行為必須停止，現在已經有超過7百萬人參與守護北極的連署，世界各地的人民持續發聲，我們必須繼續這股動力，直到成為他們無法忽視的洪流！」
